Our Learn to ride workshops have an instructor ratio of 2 children to 1 coach. Children learn through a variety of balance games and practice, as well as peer support. We have about a 95% success rate with our workshops and lessons, and we use the balance bike approach to learning. First you learn to manage your bike and use the brakes, then you learn to roll and pick up your feet. After that we move on to "scooter bike," and finally pedaling. That means by the time you learn pedaling, you can already manage your bicycle. This process helps children be more comfortable and confident.
